Day 12 - Headed Home

Amsterdam

Checkout, Lunch, and Flight

Pack up and checkout went pretty smoothly (we were pretty much all packed the night before).

The only eventful thing that happened to us on the entire trip back was Lori not getting lunch because the SAME restaurant (at the airport) kept forgetting her food.

AND THEN…they wouldn’t give her a refund because she didn’t have her receipt. At this point, we were in a tight timeline to board our plane…there wasn’t enough time (or energy) to find a manager.

Summary

What can I say - this was a trip of a life time. We made it home safely and adjusted back to Central Time pretty seamlessly.

I didn’t realize this until several days later… the sign behind us says, “Welcome to Minnesota” (in German).
