Family Trip to Europe 2025

We took a family trip to Europe in the summer of 2025 and had an amazing time!

This was the first time the kids took a trip outside of North America, and they got to explore many different cultures, foods, languages, and history.

And we're off! The first day of our adventure begins. I just hope we can get some sleep on the plane!

London was the perfect first stop on the trip. Dodging some rain, we caught up on sleep and snuck in some touristy adventures.

Day 2 - London & Krakow

A quick but fun day in London...exploring Churchill's War Rooms and a few other sites. And then, we're off to Krakow, Poland!

Day 3 - Oswiecim

This was an important day of the trip, but knowingly, also a sad one...we visited Auschwitz concentration camp.

Day 4 - Munich

We caught an early flight so we could enjoy most of the day in Munich. And...that we did! Der Platz, ein Biergarten...Let's Go!

Day 5 - Munich

This was the first day we woke up somewhere and didn't have to leave! A wonderful day exploring the city history, shopping, and goofing around.

Day 6 - Tübingen

Leaving, Munich, I had this wonderful idea to stay in a small town and wait to book the hotel until the date got closer. This kick-started a series of events that ended up being one of the most memorable parts of the trip.

Day 7 - Stuttgart and Heidelberg

After a night's rest, we reset. Most of the events this next day were kept secret from the kids -- and for good reason.

Possibly our favorite day of the trip...shopping, castle tour, beer, pizza and relaxing by the river. This day checked all the boxes!

One of the most beautiful cites...despite everything being closed, we had a wonderful time relaxing and exploring!

Day 10 - Amsterdam

What an amazing city! We walked, we ate, we saw...and all in an afternoon. This was a great (late) addition to our itinerary and brought another unique cultural experience!

Our last full day of the trip. A canal ride, lots of snacks, some more shopping...and a relaxing dinner in downtown. What a great way to end our trip.
